I’ll give you a few moments…..

For me nothing is better than a patio on a warm day, a bottle of Liquid Farm White Hill Chardonnay, and the Cayucos Abalone and Crispy Pork Belly appetizer from the Lido Restaurant in quaint Shell Beach. Oh good lord.

Imagine this..

A crispy pork belly in it’s juicy richness topped with light local Abalone provided by our friend Brad at the Abalone Farm (that’s a cool place to play!). You top that with a slice of avocado, then a dollop of meyer lemon dressing, and you finish it with a sliver of pickled ginger. It’s like the perfect boy band, by themselves eh…but together you’ve got Backstreet N’Sync magic. This is a dish that must be savored in a bite; and that one perfect bite is both rich, sweet, tart,and tangy. It’s a flavor explosion like no other. The appetizer comes with 3 servings, and the Mister knows that he had better leave me 2 of them.
